About the Trust

Our mission
The Trust's objective is to identify, conserve, and celebrate the heritage of the Willis Fleming family in a coordinated and imaginative way. This heritage includes:
- lives and work of family members;
- the natural & built environment, and spirit of place, of the former family estates; life & work on the former estates, and the people who lived there;
- historic objects, including those now dispersed or lost -- papers, artefacts, and monuments & memorials.
The work of the Trust includes:
- preserving family & estate papers, and maintaining a united, accessible collection;
- researching and recording historical information;
- protecting objects relating to the family & estate history;
- championing the care and maintenance of monuments;
- raising the profile of the family & estate heritage;
- creative projects based on historical themes.
